About Children's Ministry

Children’s Ministry at MABC is blessed and privileged to weekly present the gospel to children; and to help train children to trust, obey, and defend God’s Word.

Currently, a team of volunteers lovingly serves parents and their children by teaching Sunday School in three different age groups:

  • Preschool: Ages 2-4 (younger children may also attend if accompanied by an adult)
  • Kinder-3rd grade
  • 4th-5th grade

We also have an optional family room for parents with babies and small children with a live feed of the worship service.

During the first part of the service, children are in the sanctuary as we sing and pray as a church family.  At a break in the service, children are dismissed to their assigned classrooms. Parents are asked to sign their children in before the service begins at the Sunday School welcome table, and to sign them out when they pick them up from the classroom.  We ask that parents personally sign their children in and out each week so we can help ensure the safety of our children.  This will also help with communication between parents and teachers.

Our hope is that our children’s ministry is a supplement to what parents are already implementing at home, instructing, training and shepherding daily.  If you are looking for help in this area we encourage you to come talk to one of the pastors, elders, or volunteers on the children’s ministry team.

Please know that the lines of communication are always open and questions are always welcome.  We want you to feel confident putting your children into the MABC children’s ministry activities.

Please feel free to contact pastorhaig@mountabc.org with any questions or to receive weekly Sunday school resources and materials.
